slobbering on Brooklyn

In a shirt we gave to Wesley, years ago, now come back around (thanks Deb!). Sans shirt, but back in the best borough this weekend, Linc gobbled some grapes at Tom and Krista's housewarming in Sunset Park and then stayed up late with Ritik and Erin at Hot Bird in Prospect Heights. Warm night, sleeping on the ride home. His folks remembering good times.

thank you Uncle Bill!

Despite his mother's disorganized and belated correspondence tendencies of late, Linc (and his parents) do love his pennies. A gift from a very thoughtful great uncle. It isn't every Lincoln who is born in the last few days of the Abraham Lincoln bicentennial.

on to riverton

After Z farm, we stopped over in a river wonderland and enjoyed wonderful food, a fire and a little frog with with Wes, Anna, Rosemary, Aunt Debbie, Uncle Dan, Grandpop and Grandma Ewa. (yes, Linc got to slobber on 4 grandparents, 2 aunts, 2 uncles, and 5 cousins all in the span of 48 hours.) I let Linc fall flat on his face off the aerobed at bedtime, an experience he didn't really care for. Then I lost a lure during fly fishing practice while Dan nearly caught a bald eagle. Anna and Wes caught a frog and accidentally gave it a bath in cold ashes, while Rosie stole as many of Lincoln's cheerios and "squishy food" as we would allow. With such a busy weekend, we didn't even notice that Linc grew two more teeth, making for a little pumpkin face... just in time for halloween.

on Z farm

We visited Grama and Grampa at their new home this weekend. Evie, Pete and Lincoln got to run (and crawl) around to their hearts' content on green grass stretching as far as they could see. There was even a clubhouse for the short of stature, a swing set, a woodpile filled with "ozark chairs," an apple tree and a snake! A little bit of Eden, indeed.

monday morning

He's up in the night these past two days, and rearing to go at 5AM, just in time for Paul and Lucy's visit. This morning he woke up in his parents bed, after one long unhappy night. It doesn't seem to phase him, but his folks are feeling a little old and tired today.
