A week ago today we discovered (quite suddenly) that we were about to become (quite suddenly) a family of five. Tonight, four of the five of us on the couch: one soon-to-be big brother, one still-shocked mother, one stowaway...and another.

Celebrating Doxia's first birthday at Beau and Callie's place. Hung with some real firemen, rode a tiny firetruck, read a bunch of Gus' books and tried (unsuccessfully) to steal his friend's cool pirate hat. Just another day of fun on summer vacation.

Summer vacation begins! On the island to visit Gram, celebrate July 4th, see old friends and lots and lots of extended family, and swim in the ocean. And swim in the ocean. And swim in the ocean. (And did I mention swim in the ocean?).
